    TYPE-MZ Limited Slip Differential

    Type MZ limited slip differential is designed where the activation pressure opposes the direction of the initial torque with the utilization of the cone spring. The LSD operation first becomes engaged when the opposing pressures start working against one another.

    The Type MZ features the highest rated initial torque rating than the rest of any other Cusco LSD models. This is due to the high pressure cone spring which engages full clutch pack lock at a linear rate. 

    Pressure ring features dual profiles to switch between (1 way & 1.5 way) (1 way & 2 way) (1.5 way & 2 way) without purchasing additional components!  Specialized cam profiles are available for custom orders.

    • 1 way LSD Specially suited for front wheel drive cars and AWD car front axles. Activates under acceleration, and acts as a true LSD when the throttle is off.
      This CUSCO 1 way LSD will improve lap times.
    • 1.5 way LSD Activates under acceleration while the under-steer under deceleration is less than on a 2 way LSD.
      Recommended for those who have a hard time with under-steer.
    • 2 way LSD Recommended on rear wheel drive cars and AWD car rear axles. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration.
      Recommended for those who prefer aggressive driving and big angle drifting.

     

    All Cusco limited slip differentials have the option of adjusting the responsiveness and the locking characteristics the LSD by the combination of each plate and its designation of how it is stacked. Cusco's exclusive clutch plate grooves are cut radially enabling instant oil movement, thus improving efficiency and durability. The pressure ring contact surface is polished for an even and flat contact with the clutch plates. The exclusive Cusco Oil Through System enhances great oil circulation and supply to the necessary areas when used with the Cusco LSD Oil.

     

    TYPE-RS Limited Slip Differential

    In the RS Model, the activation pressure is applied to the same direction of the initial torque with the utilization of a coil spring. Therefore, the initial torque is set lower than the MZ model enables a smoother and quicker initial clutch plates engagement from a non operational to a fully functioning state even despite a low initial torque rating is set. The virtues of a low initial torque setting is that it enables a smooth turn even while the LSD mechanism is not activated. Because of the coil spring design, it provides overall gentle and stable operation.

    The RS Springs sit inside the pressure rings which helps engage the rear lock and the number of springs can be added or subtracted for personal customization.

     

    These RS Springs apply constant pressure against the clutch plates at all times, resulting in minimal loss of initial torque over time.

  3. Cusco Honda S2000 2.0L (99-09) Street Zero A Coilover Suspension Kit

    Street Zero-A [Full Height Adjustable + 40 way Adjustable Damper]

     

    The Street ZERO-A features a full height adjustable system enables the perfect ride height adjustment without sacrificing damper stroke or spring preload. The newly developed 40 way adjustable twin-tube shock absorber system enables a wide range of suspension setting suitable for virtually any given road condition.

    Factory upper mounts are re- used for those who prefer comfort, or Cusco pillowball upper mounts (sold separately) can be incorporated into the kit for more adjustment capabilities and direct road feedback.

    Each coilover suspension is specially valved and dimensionally designed per vehicle application. The new CPRV valve is a pressure dependent system where it prevents the piston speed from falling below a sufficient "comfort" level. This suspension coilover unit does it all, from street to circuit, and its 40 way needle valve dampening characteristics can be changed with a single push of a button. (via Econ2).

    The Cusco anti-sway bars replace the factory anti-sway bars, (if equipped) and uses the factory mounting locations.  The Cusco anti-sway bar will dramatically reduce body roll since its stiffness is greater than the factory bar or if the vehicle is not equipped with one.  The larger diameter and steel strength bar give the Cusco bar more resistance against torsion, which helps keep the vehicle stabilized during cornering and reduces weight transfer.
