Returns Policy

Please read carefully before placing your order.

Tarmac Sportz Limited specialises in sourcing performance, race and styling components from UK and international manufacturers. Many products are ordered specifically for each customer.

Your return rights will depend on the type of product purchased.

1. Consumer Right to Cancel (Distance Selling – 14 Days)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving goods that are:

Held in stock at our Derby warehouse, and not specially ordered, made to order or sourced specifically on your behalf.

To exercise this right:

  • You must notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery.
  • Goods must be returned within 14 days of cancellation approval.
  • Items must be unused, uninstalled and in original, resalable condition.
  • All original packaging, manufacturer seals and documentation must remain intact.

You are responsible for return shipping costs and ensuring adequate transit insurance.

We reserve the right to deduct from any refund for:

  • Handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods
  • Missing or damaged packaging
  • Reduced resale value

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving and inspecting the returned goods.

2. Special Order & Supplier-Sourced Items (Exempt from Cancellation)

The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to:

  • Made-to-order items
  • Products manufactured to customer specification
  • Items specially ordered from UK or overseas suppliers on your behalf
  • Imported items sourced specifically per order
  • Electrical and ECU-related components
  • Items marked as non-returnable

Once we commit funds to a supplier on your behalf, the order cannot be cancelled without incurring charges and may not be refundable.

If you are uncertain whether a product is returnable, you must contact us before placing your order, as certain items are non-refundable once ordered.

3. Back Orders

If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, you will be notified within 48 hours where possible and offered:

  • An estimated lead time
  • A refund
  • Or the option to wait

If you choose to wait and we commit funds to the supplier on your behalf, cancellation charges may apply.

4. Incorrectly Supplied Items

If we have supplied the wrong item:

  • You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • The item must not be installed.

We will arrange collection and replacement at our cost.

5. Faulty or Defective Products

Warranty coverage is provided by the manufacturer, not Tarmac Sportz Limited.

Most products carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty unless otherwise stated.

If you believe an item is faulty:

  • Contact us with full details and supporting images.
  • The item may need to be returned for inspection.
  • Return shipping for warranty inspection is typically the customer’s responsibility.
  • Items found not to be faulty may be returned at the customer’s expense.

Performance parts damaged due to:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Misuse
  • Track abuse
  • Lack of maintenance
  • Vehicle incompatibility

...are not covered under warranty.

6. Condition of Returned Goods

Returned goods must be:

  • Unused
  • Uninstalled
  • In original manufacturer packaging
  • In resaleable condition

We cannot accept returns of items that show:

  • Installation marks
  • Damage
  • Scratches
  • Missing packaging
  • Opened sealed components

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.

7. Wheels & Body Parts

Due to fitment variables and shipping sensitivity:

Wheels must not have been fitted with tyres.

Body parts must not have been painted, trial-fitted or modified.

Once painted, fitted or modified, these items cannot be returned.

8. Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed via the original payment method.

We do not refund:

  • Original shipping charges (unless the item was supplied incorrectly or faulty)
  • Any import costs already incurred
  • Any supplier restocking fees where applicable

9. Important Installation Disclaimer

We strongly advise professional installation of all performance components.

We are not liable for:

  • Labour costs
  • Garage fees
  • Diagnostic charges
  • Recovery costs
  • Do not book installation work until goods are physically received and inspected.
