The stock flex plate in your Z or G is made from thin stamped steel, and commonly fails in applications that make higher horsepower than stock. Z1 flex plates are machined from high-quality billet aluminum, offering much greater strength and durability. A steel tone ring and ring gear are attached to the flex plate with grade 12.9 fasteners, ensuring a long, trouble-free life. Z1's Billet Flex Plate is a direct replacement for the factory flex plate and requires no additional parts or modifications to install.
