The factory VDC system on the Nissan 370Z is designed to keep the car under control. Great for daily driving. Not so great when you actually want wheelspin.

Even with VDC switched off, the factory system still intervenes during standing burnouts, drifting, and aggressive track driving by cutting throttle input when brake and wheel speed data aren't within allowed limits. The usual workarounds, like pulling the ABS fuse (disabling brake lights) or interrupting the yaw sensor wiring, either compromise safety systems or eventually trigger a P1805 fault that forces the ECU into limp mode.

The JailBreak was engineered to solve that problem properly.

At the heart of the system is a completely custom-designed control module featuring purpose-built logic and a dedicated PCB developed specifically for the Z platforms. Instead of crudely interrupting signals and hoping for the best, the JailBreak intelligently manages brake and yaw inputs to prevent the P1805 condition that results in a Check Engine Light. This commonly plagues other bypass methods, but not the Jailbreak.

Control is handled through an included illuminated momentary button that allows you to quickly cycle between multiple operating modes on the fly. The button flashes to confirm mode selection, making it easy to know exactly what state the system is in. Even better, the JailBreak features built-in mode memory, meaning the system will automatically return to your last selected mode every time the vehicle is restarted. If you have a dedicated track or drift car and want to keep it in full bypass, you won't need to reselect the desired mode every time you turn the key.

Operating Modes:

Mode 0: Jailbreak off - No changes, everything functions as intended by MFR.

A very dimmed LED indicates the system is operational and has power.

Mode 1: Brake bypass ONLY - Drag strip or burnout mode. Disables brake on-switch ECU throttle cut without disabling yaw. Yaw sensor is still active.

Flashes once to confirm mode activation.

Mode 2: Yaw bypass ONLY -  Disables yaw/VDC without brake signal changes. 

Flashes twice to confirm mode activation. Will cause slip / VDC light illumination until you power cycle the car as long as it remains in this mode.

Mode 3: Brake and yaw bypass - Combines the functions of Mode 1 and Mode 2.

Flashes three times to confirm mode activation. Will cause slip / VDC light illumination until you power cycle the car as long as it remains in this mode.

The Jailbreak has mode memory! It will stay in its last mode every time you start the car.
