Z1's 370Z / G37 Solid Steering Rack Bushings improve driver feedback and steering feel by replacing the rubber bushings that mount the rack to the car. Doing this secures the steering rack to the subframe without the use of soft bushings, allowing the car to communicate better with the driver during hard corners. Additionally, this holds the rack in position and prevents side-to-side slip, commonly seen with worn rubber bushings.

Why would I want solid bushings?

Communication is key. Your car's steering rack is mounted to the subframe using soft rubber bushings. This is designed to cushion vibrations and maintain comfort when driving your car, but inherently reduces driver feel as it absorbs vibrations transferred through the rack. This can contribute to a "disconnected" feeling as the driver gains less feedback from the front tires. In addition, worn rubber mounts can introduce lateral movement leading to a reduction in steering response.
